Safety
It is the policy of Cummins West, Inc. to strive for the highest environmental health and safety standards at every branch location and to minimize injuries in the work place. We believe that workplace safety requires both management leadership and employee involvement.
We take safety seriously and have policies in place that ensure our employees and customers are safe when they come to work or engage in business with Cummins West. Our safety programs and procedures include:
- Eye, Hand & Foot Protection Program
- Emergency Preparedness Training
- Hazardous Material Training
- Employee Safety Training for all new employees
- CPR/FA training offered annually to employees
- Safe Drive program – includes offering defensive driving classes and a policy which prohibits the use of cell phones or text message while driving
- Ergonomics training
- Weekly safety meetings at all locations
- Quarterly safety luncheons promoting safety programs and initiatives
